Client
345 site+ estate based throughout mainland UK.
Background
Having reviewed their current intruder alarm provider, the client invited Simply Solutions to take part in a competitive tender proposition. Whilst a key driver was cost, the client was unhappy with the reporting and communication from their current providers.
These were key improvement areas within the documentation.
Solution
After reviewing the documentation and auditing samples of the compliance certification, it came apart that there were gaps within the current vendor’s model. Items such as average hours on site became questionable as did the delivery model and how arrangements were made with each site.
Simply Solutions audited 10% of the state as part of the tender process and split the estate into its main functions which were retail, logistics, cross stocks and regional offices. Each different style of property required a slightly different delivery and maintenance model.
For example. The logistics locations each had an access control system. This access control system links through to the intruder alarm. Upon auditing the card system, it was found that each site had more than 50 dormant cards which were unallocated. The audit process for the card system became a key area of security risk.
Once our audit was complete, our tender offered the client two options, comprehensive and non-comprehensive. The benefits and advantages of both options were explained to the client after reviewing items such as reactive orders which were raised for various items.
Simply Solutions were awarded the contract after demonstrating improvements in process, communication, and overall value.
